The Wave Swim Team

The swim team at Riverton Country Club has competed for over 40 years. Parents who once swam for Riverton are now cheering on the next generation!  More commonly know as “The Wave”, our swim team consists of a mix of novice swimmers and county champions. The team participates in both “A” and “B” meets to provide opportunities for every level of swimmer.  All club members ages five through eighteen are eligible to join the team. 

Younger swimmers may consider joining the Mini-Waves.  This is a group of swimmers who receive swim lessons Monday through Thursdays during the month of July. 

The Wave swim team is a volunteer organization supported in part by Riverton Country Club and in part by team fees and fundraising.  Swim practice begins in the afternoons in late May and moves to the mornings when the schools are out for summer break.

The swim season runs through the month of July with championship meets for qualifying swimmers scheduled into early August.  The “A” swim meets are held on Saturday mornings, while the “B” swim meets are scheduled for Wednesdays in July.
